Excellent in planning trips for stargazing! Superimposes (on GoogleMaps) a color-coded shade that shows how suitable any area is for stargazing. You can customize how opaque you’d like this layer to be. I prefer to use it at 50% (the lightest option). Data seems to be updated fairly often, as I’ve noticed regions of some of my favorite spots have gotten brighter over just the last year due to development. The map covers the entire world so it will work great for any location.
