Duolingo is so much fun to use that you’ll be inspired to stick with the hard work of learning other languages. It is gamified and presented in manageable small lessons, so it is easy to continue. It is great for kids, teens, and adults. I have used it (to varying degrees!) to study eight languages before traveling. Whether it is just for a few months so that I can greet and thank people, or after years of study where I can have limited conversations, it has all been worthwhile! Talking with people in their native tongue is one of the great joys of foreign travel.
