As one who is, admittedly, not into historical insights as much as I’d like to think, this Bryson classic took me away — straight to the year 1927 in America when there was so much going on. I appreciate the amount of diligent research Bryson puts into his work – and especially this book. For anyone who wants to know more about, and FEEL the hardships and celebratory moments of such an eventful time in American history, read this book.
